Nationals is fast approaching and in less than 48 hours I will be boarding my plane to Toronto! This past week has gone by in a blur and I have been adrenalized with excitement! AHH IT IS HAPPENING!!! MISS TEENAGE CANADA 2016 IS HAPPENING!!!
For our second blog assignment, we each created a roll-up banner design for the upcoming Miss Teenage Canada competition, using a combination of creativity and technological prowess. Because I have always loved designing logos, t-shirt prints, and fun posters, this was definitely one of my favourite tasks yet!
Sign Source Solution, a multipurpose printing company, has generously donated a roll-up banner. Specialized in manufacturing business signs and event signage, this Toronto-based company will send a representative to the finals night on July 24th, to pose with the winning designer beside their design (printed on a real-deal roll-up banner!).
Here is my design:
I took on a minimalistic approach when I created this banner as I searched for a colour combo that best complimented the MTC logo. In the end, I decided on a pink and white gradient, and added a blurred shadow offset to the logo to make it POP! This banner would also be a great backdrop for pictures because of its simple background colour.
Only 2 more sleeps and I am off! Thank you to everyone for your continuous support and let’s bring the crown back to BC!
