Hey everyone! Jesseca here! I am back with another update for you all. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to volunteer at the Langley Community Music School Open House Day.

As a student at the school, it was really rewarding for me to be able to help out on such a big day. Kids from all over the community got to meet teachers and see some of the music groups perform.

I had the opportunity to introduce the Langley Community Music School’s Youth Choir, led by my amazing vocal teacher, Tammy Hummel; alongside, the Intermediate Orchestra. I got to speak about my perspective as a music student at the school. Musical education is very important as it offers a way for people to express themselves in a creative setting.

I also got to help with the bagging of popcorn and cleaning up chairs and stands afterwards. Even though these are miniscule tasks, it still makes other peoples’ lives a little easier. Plus, pageant girls aren’t always glitter and makeup! I encourage you all to go out and help with the little things in your community.

Anyways, thanks for listening to my Ted Talk…OOPS…I mean reading my blog post.

Hi everyone, this is Alexandria representing Surrey in Miss Teenage Canada! Since winning the title, I’ve started training to be a volunteer at the Looking Glass Foundation, and traveled to many schools to educate kids on the importance of mental health. I compete around British Columbia with the Ignite Youth Company in Ballet and I play the piano. I look forward to meeting everyone in July!

Hello everyone!

My name is Jesseca Mah and I am Miss Teenage Langley 2019! I am so excited to embark on this adventure to the Miss Teenage Canada Pageant with you all.

I am 18 years old and will be attending the University of British Columbia in September. I’ll be studying in the Faculty of Science. I love badminton, singing, and books. These have led me to receive multiple awards and scholarships.

I am very humorous. My personality is light-hearted and bubbly. If you’re ever feeling down, I will not hesitate to crack a joke to put a smile on your face. I love berries. My friends have given me berries as birthday and Christmas presents. You could say I am “berry” addicted to them.

My platform is affordable and accessible education. After being a peer tutor and teaching English to young children in China, I wanted to make education more affordable to young people. We can help in many ways, from older students volunteering their time to tutor younger students or donating used school supplies. Not everyone can afford these things; however, not every child should be limited in their education.

Thank you so much for getting to know me and I can’t wait to share my adventures with you!
